The British Amusement Catering Trade Association (Bacta) will hold its annual Social Responsibility Exchange on November 22, 2022, at County Hall in London.
Bacta members will be able to share best practice tactics and strategies for social responsibility at the event. Elizabeth Speech, Chair of Bacta’s Social Responsibility Committee, will introduce it.
The Young Gamers & Gamblers Education Trust (YGAM) and GamCare will also speak at the event, as will the Gambling Commission’s social responsibility updates.

“Our Social Responsibility Exchange will provide members with critical updates on Social Responsibility from organizations such as the Gambling Commission, YGAM, and GamCare,” said Russell Edge, Bacta Membership, SR, and Compliance Manager.

“The one-day event will also provide a structured forum for discussion of the tactics and strategies used by Bacta members across the country.” Finally, we hope that members leave the event knowing more about Social Responsibility and exchanging knowledge where possible.”

The trade association represents the owners and operators of over 18 amusement centers, seaside amusement arcades, and companies that rent machines to pubs, clubs, bowling alleys, bingo halls, and other similar establishments.

Bacta named John Bollom as its new Vice President last month. He took over after previous VP Trevor Sutton announced his intention to resign at Bacta’s most recent National Council, with Bollom serving until March 2023.

Earlier in July, the trade body reported issues with staff recruitment at UK seaside arcades and adult gaming centers in a study of its members.
