The MGM Resorts Foundation has given nearly $2 million in grants to nonprofit organizations in communities where MGM Resorts operates in the United States.
Southern Nevada, Michigan, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Northeast Ohio, the DC Metropolitan area, and Western Massachusetts are all included. Organizations that provide basic needs services to community residents were given funding.
“Year after year, we are amazed at the generosity of our employees and now guests,” said Maria Jose Gatti, Executive Director of Community Engagement at MGM Resorts International. “In 2022, MGM Resorts employees will have donated to 82 nonprofit organizations that serve the communities in which we live and work.”

“On behalf of our grantees, thank you to everyone who contributed to the Community Grant Fund, which provides vital assistance to our communities such as medical care, mental health counseling, food, and shelter.”

MGM Resorts employees and guests contributed to the Community Grant Fund, and grant decisions were made by the company’s Community Grant Councils, a voluntary committee of employees who represent their respective regions.

“The MGM Resorts Foundation was established in 2002 as a way for MGM Resorts employees to contribute to important charitable causes,” the group said in a statement. “Since its inception, the Foundation has raised over $100 million and supported over 1,500 charitable organizations.”

“MGM Resorts is committed to strengthening communities’ livelihoods, capacity, and resiliency through the development of sustainable institutions, the support of good jobs, the promotion of next generation skill development, and collaboration with the public sector, policymakers, educators, and nonprofit organizations.”
