The Ebor Festival at York Racecourse reported a total of £93.2 million ($110 million) bet into World Pool over the first three days, with gross turnover for World Pool wagers increasing 38% year on year.
“After what has been another world-class Ebor Festival, we are delighted to see such significant interest and growth in World Pool over all three racedays at York Racecourse,” said William Derby, Chief Executive of York Racecourse.
The combination of high-quality racing action, including the victory of the world’s highest-rated racehorse in the Juddmonte International, and large field sizes of 266 runners across 21 races appears to have piqued the interest of racing fans worldwide.”
For the first time, the Exacta and Treble bet types are available in World Pool for 2022.

The Epsom Oaks and Derby earlier this year reported record betting activity, with nearly £49 million ($61.2 million) bet into the World Pool over the two-day meeting.
The races, dubbed the Cazoo Oaks and Derby for sponsorship reasons, took place this year on June 3 and 4.
