FanDuel Group, which is owned by Flutter Entertainment, has announced the launch of its FanDuel TV service, which will include a widely distributed linear cable television network as well as its over-the-top (OTT) platform, FanDuel+.
Both services are set to launch in September, becoming the first linear/digital network dedicated to sports betting content.
FanDuel+ will be free for existing FanDuel customers who have accounts on the company’s sportsbook, casino, horseracing, or daily fantasy platforms.
Kay Adams, a media personality, has been named the FanDuel TV network’s headliner, where she will host a live daily morning show.
The hour-long show, which will air Monday through Friday, will feature guests from the sports and entertainment industries. Daily shows will be available on YouTube and other social media platforms.
“FanDuel TV is the first network designed from the ground up to be watched by viewers with their phone in hand,” said FanDuel CCO Mike Raffensperger.
“We intend for FanDuel TV to be at the crossroads of live sports and interactive content, and we believe Kay is the best example of an on-air talent who can bring fans closer to the narratives of the games they care about the most.”
“Our goal is to provide compelling programming for fans to watch and wager on in conjunction with our mobile app.”
Pat McAfee, who will produce original content for the network, and Lisa Kerney, who will continue to host her sports betting show ‘More Ways to Win,’ have also joined the FanDuel TV lineup.
FanDuel TV and FanDuel+ will broadcast over 3,000 hours of live sports, including basketball from the top leagues in Australia, China, France, and Germany, as part of their ongoing partnership with Sportradar.
