Eoin Morgan, an Irish-born cricketer, has been named a brand ambassador for betting platform Fairplay.
The 35-year-old sportsman, who led England to victory in the 2019 ICC Cricket World Cup, has signed a multi-year deal with the company that will see him participate in a variety of marketing initiatives.
Morgan will not only be featured in Fairplay’s international campaigns, but he will also participate in social media giveaways.
“I’m thrilled to be joining Fairplay as global brand ambassador,” Morgan said. “They’re a massive platform with some really exciting future plans, so I can’t wait to get started.”
The cricketer announced his retirement from international play in June, but he has amassed an impressive record during his career.
Morgan is the only England captain to have scored more than four one-day international (ODI) centuries. Morgan led England to its first-ever World Cup victory in 2019.
He also played in the Indian Premier League (IPL) for over a decade, captaining the Kolkata Knight Riders to their third final last year. Morgan currently plays county cricket for Middlesex.
Given this, Fairplay is likely hoping to capitalize on Morgan’s reputation, which a Fairplay representative mentioned, calling him “a renowned and leading sportsman.”
“We are overjoyed to welcome Eoin to our family.” “Eoin Morgan is a well-known and respected sportsman in India and around the world, and we look forward to an exciting partnership,” said a Fairplay representative.
Project11, a sports marketing agency, arranged this sponsorship.
