GoodLuckMate, a comparison platform that reviews betting websites, has launched a new domain for Japanese gamblers.
According to GoodLuckMate, Japan’s betting market is becoming increasingly crowded and competitive. It cited projections that wagering volume could reach $9 billion in 2022 to support this claim.
As a result, GoodLuckMate has focused on Japan, specifically on local bettors. The platform has already begun to feature Japanese-language reviews, as well as other country-specific content.

The Japanese platform of the brand offers bookmaker reviews, free game guides, and bonus offers, as well as free-to-play demo versions of slot titles.

In the future, GoodLuckMate plans to add more betting websites and “special perks.” A Japanese launch, according to CEO Nerijus Grenda, is “an important plan in our 2022 expansion strategy.”

“In the coming weeks, we will feature more betting sites and offer additional special perks,” he added.

GoodLuckMate already has platforms aimed at other national audiences, including bettors in Sweden and Austria.

However, Japan, according to Grenda, represents a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. He claims that gambling is ingrained in Japanese culture, which is exacerbated by the country’s technologically savvy citizens.

“The Japanese betting market has gained significant traction since the pandemic,” Grenda said. “Betting is ingrained in Japanese culture.

“This culture, combined with a high level of technological literacy, benefits the online betting industry.”

“It is our priority that players make the right decisions when choosing betting sites,” Grenda continued.

In 2018, Japan approved a bill for three integrated resort casinos (IR).

MGM Resorts is building one IR in Osaka, as company President of Global Development Ed Bowers stated last month.
