Edward Hartman has been named Group Chief Strategy Officer at PointsBet, effective September 6, 2022.
Hartman was most recently the US Football League’s EVP of Business Operations and Fox Sports’ SVP of Digital Partnerships and Wagering.
He has also served as SVP of Corporate Development at Fox Corporation and SVP of Mergers and Acquisitions at News Corp.
Prior to this, Hartman was Managing Director at Caledonia, a global investment management firm, and worked for UBS for over a decade.
In his new role, Hartman will oversee group strategy, collaborating with PointsBet’s Global Leadership Team and the company’s Board of Directors.
Hartman’s objectives include improving and executing the company’s strategy and vision, identifying new opportunities, and strengthening PointsBet’s operations.

The announcement comes on the heels of PointsBet’s announcement yesterday (30 August 2022), when it first launched a sports betting newsletter in collaboration with Front Office Sports.
The Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission also granted PointsBet provisional certification for sports wagering.
