Greentube, Novomatic’s digital gaming and entertainment division, has named a new senior executive.
Felipe Ludea has been promoted to Chief Sportsbook Officer, a company first. Ludea has joined Greentube’s Board of Directors in addition to his new C-level position.
Meanwhile, Georg Gubo, Greentube’s current COO, will become Managing Director of Admiral Sportwetten, another Novomatic brand. He will hold this position in addition to his role as COO.
Finally, this reorganization represents an effort to “bolster the work of Admiral and Greentube,” more closely aligning both brands in terms of online entertainment.
“With our continued strong performance in regulated markets around the world, it is a natural evolution for Greentube to fully immerse itself in the larger entertainment industry,” Ludea said.
“I am humbled to be named the company’s first Chief Sportsbook Officer.” While Greentube has a long history in online gaming, we hope to engage players in a variety of online verticals in the coming months and years.”
The executive has worked in the iGaming industry for over a decade. He has been with Novomatic for nearly four years and previously worked for Codere, where he held several senior leadership positions.
Gubo, on the other hand, has been in C-level positions at Greentube since 2015. “There are clear synergies between Admiral and Greentube that can help to drive growth for both parties,” he said of the latest reshuffle. These new appointments will contribute to that strategy.
“On a personal note, it’s an honor to serve as Managing Director for a company as prestigious as Admiral, and I believe the future is bright for everyone involved.”
