Gerard Crosby has been appointed as Konami Gaming’s new SVP and Chief Games Product Offer.
Crosby’s three-decade career in the gaming industry should help drive product performance and advancements across global markets, according to Konami.
Crosby has worked in game development, hardware and software engineering, product strategy, and business operations management.
Since 2001, he has served as Konami Australia’s chief researcher and developer, delivering products to customers in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and South Africa.
Crosby is now in charge of the company’s global game research and development, including vision, conceptualization, strategy, and execution.
“Gerard Crosby has been with the Konami organization for 23 years, leading with a demonstrated commitment to product quality and driving results for casinos across diverse market segments,” said Konami President and CEO Steve Sutherland.
“We anticipate expanding game product outcomes for our casino customers worldwide through Gerard’s expanded leadership and ongoing collaboration between Konami’s research and development teams in the United States, Australia, and Japan.”
Crosby will continue to be Konami Australia’s General Manager of Product Development, Director, Office Holder, and Secretary in addition to his new role.
He also serves on the Board of Directors of the not-for-profit Gaming Technologies Association in Australia, where he chairs the Technical Committee.
Konami reported a 22% increase in gaming revenue in its Q2 2022 results earlier this month.
Casino operations in North America and Australia have returned to pre-Covid levels, partially offsetting restrictions in other regions.
In addition, in Q2, the company entered the video lottery terminal market in New York State.
