Muckleshoot Casino in Washington State has completed the top of its new hotel tower, bringing the 18-story development one step closer to completion.
Members of the Muckleshoot Indian Tribe were present to witness the final steel beam’s installation.
However, before the 1,000-pound hunk of metal could be hoisted into place, it was adorned with the signatures of members as well as the men and women responsible for the tower’s construction.

Fireworks were set off to commemorate the occasion, and a blessing and a cultural dance of celebration were performed.

“Under the stewardship of the Muckleshoot Tribe, we’re creating a resort destination where memories will be made,” said John James, CEO of Muckleshoot Casino.

“With its commanding silhouette against the skyline, our commanding hotel tower is already attracting regional attention as a beacon for the exceptional.”

“From the thrill of new ways to play to the warmth of enhanced guest service, we will be the preferred central gathering place to dine, play, and stay.”

Despite the celebration, the casino’s new tower will not be completed until the second half of next year.

The project, which is part of a multi-year transformation, is set to open in the autumn of 2023 and will include 400 guestrooms as well as expanded gaming.

“Piece by piece, we are erecting an exciting new standard for regional tourism,” said Tyrone Simmons, COO of Muckleshoot Casino.

“Muckleshoot Casino’s addition of a dynamic resort experience exemplifies the Muckleshoot Tribe’s commitment and dedication to developing unrivaled destinations.”
