Symbols and Payouts From the Paytable

There are 50 paylines in all, and your bet covers each of them. There is no option to decrease the number of active paylines, but with a starting bet of 50 cents, you don’t have to risk a lot. Payouts are:

  • 10, Jack, Queen, and King – 5, 10, and 50 coins
  • Ace – 5, 20, and 75 coins
  • Lotus and Turtle – 5, 25, and 100 coins
  • Frog – 8, 30, and 200 coins
  • Buddha – 10, 50, and 300 coins

The second, third, and fourth reels have a Wild symbol that often appears and helps form winning combinations. There’s also a Coin Bag scatter worth 2x, 15x, and 100x that triggers the free spins bonus round. More on that soon. This leaves the Fortune Orb that has no value other than triggering Fortune Link.

Free Spins and Fortune Link

When the reels stop spinning and there is a minimum of six Fortune Orb symbols, the Fortune Link bonus begins. Receive three additional spins and try to get more Fortune Orb symbols to join the others on the reels. If that happens, the spins counter resets to three and the bonus feature continues. Besides cash prizes, there are five jackpots available in this bonus feature. The Super Grand Jackpot is yours if you get a Fortune Orb in all 15 spaces on the game’s grid.

Scatter Coin Bags trigger free spins. Win six free spins to start and get three extra each time another three Coin Bags appear.

How Well Did We Do?

When you’re playing for fun or real money, Fortune Buddha slots has betting options that start at 50 cents (a penny per line) and go as high as $5 (10 cents per line). We decided to do our thorough test of this slot game using the max bet of $5 per spin.

  • 1st spin - $4
  • 4th spin - $1
  • 10th spin - $2.50

It wasn’t the best return, but it did have a 30% hit frequency, which is better than many slots. We came close to winning the Fortune Link bonus twice and kept trying. It took 109 spins to trigger that bonus. On our 12th spin, we won the free spins and ended up with $84.70 in prizes from that. When we finally did trigger Fortune Link, we only won $50.

For us, Fortunate Buddha didn’t prove as lucky as you’d hope. The free spins are great, but Fortune Link turned out to be a dud. Our recommendation is to keep your bet low and see what happens.
